Cannot connect home assistant

I’m trying to connect home assistant to nextdns using the core integration. I’ve created my API key, but I keep getting error message in home assistant when I provide the key and try to connect

    Could you please point us all to the specific home assistant product, there are many different things named “home assistant”.

    Also, are you sure it uses the api key? The api is only for managing the NextDNS setup, not for connecting to NextDNS.

    sorry, its homeassistant downloaded from home-assistant.io. Versions are

    • Core 2024.7.1
    • Supervisor 2024.06.2
    • Operating System 12.4
    • Frontend 20240705.0

    It definitely uses the api key - https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/nextdns/

    can anyone help? When I connect to api.nextdns.io I get

       I’m afraid there’s not much we can do this end (NextDNS side of things), it’s all on the developers of home assistant. There hasn’t been any other reports of api issues, their integration must be faulty.

      I see you tried through GitHub but got nothing much from it. Not sure what the best approach is to get them to look at it, maybe just nudge them every now and then?
