Why NextDNS doesn’t choose the server with lowest latency?

I’m in São Paulo, I have a nextdns’ server in my city, this server has the lowest latency but NextDNS choose another server from another city with bigger latency.

    I have the same problem. The CLI selects 45.90.28.0 and 139.84.167.156 on startup with 181ms latency. ping.nextdns.io shows zepto-sea as the best server with 9ms. router.nextdns.io shows 188.172.213.149. But all DNS queries are routed through 139.84.167.156, which is in India and I am in Vancouver, Canada
