Disabling deny list entries does not seem to be working

Adding an entry into the deny list, then disabling it doesn’t seem to be working.

If an entry is disabled, I’d expect that entry to be working again, which doesn’t seem to be happening,

Repro

1. Add google.com to deny list

2. visit google.com, showing it as blocked

3. Toggle google.com off in deny list

4. visit google.com, and it’s still blocked

5. Delete google.col from deny list, and it works again

After a domain is blocked wait 5 minutes. So, between step 2 and 4 should be 5 minutes.

losnad thanks, I have those enabled already. I suppose the TTL on this must be slower than what I’m used to.

Justin blocked domains have a 5min TTL. Your system and/or browser cache may enforce longer cache or reuse existing keep-alived connection that won’t require new DNS queries for a few more minutes.
