Why is NextDNS charging me?

I did not sign up for this service, but they are putting a recurring charge on my credit card of $1.99.  Who do I contact to stop this?  If this was some sort of hidden checked-box at the bottom of another service I signed up for it seems sleezy.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

This isn't a fraud situation.  I find it extremely hard to believe someone is scamming a CC for a measly $1.99 per month.  Everyone responding with advise on how to handle fraud with the CC issuer is missing the point the OP is making.

Why can't NextDNS find the "account" with the CC charge?  Then provide details to cancel the "account"?  An "account" that was probably created unknowingly by the OP (and myself, as I'm in the same situation).

I sent them the CC info as requested and never heard from them.  I got nothing other than the replies in this thread.  Hopefully you are more fortunate.

Update: I got reply and got the email address which was trying to make the payment, surprising that email was same as to my google play gaming profile name but with some numbers at the end, and i tried that email in outlook(because it was an outlook email) and it said that no such email exists. Which is weird.

    Not sure what's next.

I have no idea what nextDNS is, or what it does, but somehow I am being billed $1.99 a month.  My CC company flagged it as fraud and did not pay.  I was sent new cards.  Just received another fraud warning on new card.  Turns out companies can request new card numbers for recurring payments.  This time my CC company denied charge and blocked them from future charges.  We will see what happens.

Sleazy company with zero ability to stop this from happening.   Good luck to all of us!

I said I never gave them CC.  I have no idea what the company does or why they are charging me.   I can't log in to my account, because I don't have an account.

I will ask in the fist place why did you input your credit card details if you did not want to subscribe? The service is free and does not request any payment details.

Stop complaining, especially when you talk about fraud, and assume your errors. Otherwise don't use something that you don't understand.

He very clearly stated he didn't input his CC details. And no one is using anything they don't understand. He, and several others here, are being charged for this 'free' service they never wanted, asked for, or even care what it's purpose is.

Maybe work on your reading comprehension skills and possibly keep your ignorant mouth shut unless you can shed light on the FRAUD that keeps being committed by NextDNS.

RJJ "I did not sign up for this service, but they are putting a recurring charge on my credit card of $1.99."

He didn't stated anything. How can a company can charge you if they don't have your credit card details, seriously?Technically it is just impossible. Today credit cards require approvals for any purchases. In which world are you living?

" keep your ignorant mouth shut unless you can shed light on the FRAUD that keeps being committed by NextDNS."

Says the one who doesn't bring any proof on this matter except insulting people. You are a real joke.

You like many others never stop complaining against NextDNS with just BS feedback. Same thing on Reddit. If you are not happy just move on, use another service and stop with this nonsense.

.  Pierre, you don't seem to get it.  I had never heard of nextDNS until my CC company asked me about what they flagged as a fraudulent charge.  I said I have never heard of them and did not authorize charge.  I still have no idea what the company software does.  Through some searching I have found this is a recurring pattern with nextDNS.  I don't understand why you are defending them?  Again, I don't have an account to cancel.  I found this forum by googled about nextDNS and fraud.

I really dont think its a fraud, why would anyone get the credit card details by fraudulent means to do a 2$ or in my case 28$ transaction!!!

I think it's something else which is for nextDNS to figure out else it would be really bad for their brand image.

NextDNS is not responsible for the use of your credit card. What you are saying is impossible from a banking process point of view. You are legally responsible for any purchases made with your credit card. Just deal with it.
