NextDNS on MacOS Ventura not working

The client doesn't seem to start (at least it doesn't appear in the taskbar and won't open any GUI). Also the manual downloaded profile doesn't work - can't be enabled manually.

The CLI tools provide some strange issues (undefined config from the web interface).

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks!
Alessio

NextDNS profile appears disabled and greyed out.

Alessio Di Domizio Oh, you can’t run little snitch at the same time as NextDNS, like you used to be able to on previous macOS versions.

You probably have to disable Little Snitch first before you can activate NextDNS.

Wow thanks... but why? Is there an underlying technical reason? Does this only involve the app or also CLI?

Alessio Di Domizio Nothing technical, just a “security feature” on the new macOS versions.

It will effect the app and configuration profile, not sure on the CLI but maybe not affected as it’s at a lower system level.

Same issue here. Running 16.1. Just downloaded the app from the App Store and it does nothing.

Nick Transier I assume that’s iOS 16.1? Make sure in Settings->General->VPN,DNS & Device Management->DNS    is set to NextDNS rather than Automatic.
