Telegram Blocking not working
Hi, today I wanted to try the App Filter in MyMextdns to filter Telegram.
I activated it but all of my devices can still connect to Telegram . I mean all the apps are still working.

If DNS isn't invoked, DNS filtering can't happen.

Force Close the app, Clear Cache, kill the process etc. and try to use the app again and see that it will not work.

Telegram use his own DNS.. That is also reason you cant block ads in telegram with DNS filtering.. You must block app another way.. In firewalls..

Gorik I'm wondering if a VPN tunnel with custom DNS would make a difference in such cases since the custom DNS goes through the VPN tunnel as well.

Telegram also doesn’t display any ads. Don’t know that you’re talking about

Chris Telegram use IP addresses for connection not domain names.. So any DNS blocklist don't help.

DynamicNotSlow I read it somewhere where a similar situation was solved.. I did not verify this information, I'm not sure about this.
