.io TLD Domain of NextDNS
From recent news, there is a probability that we will loose the ".io" tld so that begs the question, backup plan for nextdns and the horde of devices people like me have it installed on as a paid user?

Given the popularity of this tld, it is unlikely the tld would go away. Much like the .su, our bet is it will just continue to exist independently from the geopolitical entity.
If it was decided otherwise, there would be sufficient delay and we would just progressively transition to our .com.
Nothing to worry about.

Even if it's retired (doubt it, it makes more sense for Mauritius to take over and let the current operators pay them), ICANN will give five years for the retirement process. FWIW .su still survives with its current ~110k domains and very large ratio of spam domains.
