NextDns using 20-25% of CPU for no good reason

This is happening far too often now, every few days I'm not doing anything meaningful on my laptop and then the fans start spinning like crazy. When I look in the Task Manager, it's the NextDns service using an ungodly amount of my CPU. See attached image for an example. Telling me to just restart my computer or to just restart the service might be ok if this happens once every few months but at this frequency it's quickly becoming unacceptable.
