Android devices suddenly resolve google DNS instead of NextDNS; however, my router configured to provide NextDNS through DHCP

I had configured NextDNS through the DHCP in my VDSL  Modem router, and everything was working fine with my computers and smartphones for a long period of time. Suddenly, my android phones connected to the wifi are resolving google DNSs instead of NextDNS. I have realized that when seeing popup ads and also checked that through DNS leak tests.

I wonder why my Android phones only doing that, is that configured recently in android software to resolve Google DNS in case of URL non-resolving issues ???

Also, I have tried using the PrivateDNS option in android software, and it works, but I do not need to configure every phone connected to my network to use private DNS. I want the DHCP to control this issue.

Moreover, I have tried Adguard DNS, and it works with my ANdroid phones wth being changed automatically.

Any ideas about solving this issue ??

Are your IP settings on your android phones for the wifi network  in question set to "Static" or "DHCP"?

By default, setting it to "Static" will prefill Google's ipv4 DNS servers 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

You could also click the "forget" or "forget network" option and connect to the wifi network from scratch on your android phones to see if that works as "DHCP" should be the automatic IP setting

All devices are using DHCP. I have also did forget networks and connect again but the same problem still exists. This issue is monitored  only in Huawei  devices but other Android or Windows connected devices have no problems.

Huawei  devices accept Nextdns configs through private DNS feature only. The wired thing is that other DNS like Adguard is working normally though DHCP without usung the private DNS feature.

The issue has been solved automatically today. I am not sure if there is a special application in my devices who controls the domains resolutions rather than the network DNS. Anyway, the problem was solved and I am facing no issues right now.

I have the same problem, probably caused by a certain version of the android operating system, probably just Android DHCP, if you set it to DHCP as well,it may make google the third dns resolver(You can use some Networking apps to view this information. ). So I had a problem with one of my phones, so I had to set it specifically to static. And then it didn't show up as Google.
