NextDNS blocking and configuration changes aren’t working correctly

I’ve been using NextDNS for a long time and followed the setup guide from yokoffing/NextDNS-Config. Everything worked perfectly for the past three years, but over the last few days I’ve started experiencing several issues.

The first problem appeared on one of my iPads after installing a NextDNS profile. The App Store was being blocked under the Gaming category, even though the Gaming category wasn’t blocked in my configuration.

Since then, I’ve noticed similar problems across all of my devices. Changes made in Parental Control don’t seem to take effect properly. Some items still show as blocked even though I’ve unblocked them.

I’m also having an issue with the denylist. I temporarily added

music.youtube.com

to the denylist because I wanted to take a break from music for a few days. After removing it, NextDNS still reports that it’s being blocked because of the denylist. But it is turned off from denylist.

 I also tried adding the domain to allowlist but nothing changed.

I waited more than a day for the settings to refresh, but the problem is still happening.

Everything was working normally for about three years, so I’m not sure what changed. It seems like NextDNS may not be applying configuration changes correctly, or the logs may be showing outdated information.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is there anything I should check on my devices or in my configuration to fix it?
