Disabling NextDNS in the toolbar don't disable it

Hey, I'm using macOS. In the past, when I disabled NextDNS in my toolbar, it went off and I could access some pages that were previously blocked.

 Since recently, turning NextDNS off on that level doesn't actually turn it off. Now I need to open settings, and turn it off in another place, too.

 This used to be different. And I cannot turn it off now effectively in the toolbar. What changed? Any idea?
