issues with Access (beta) Provide editing or viewing-only access

I have tried a new feature from settings: Access (beta)

My observations:
1) The person, who received the invitation for viewing-only access has to provide my login, password and TOTP. This doesn't make sens. Instead of using this  feature I can give my credentials.
2) Information about granting someone access is visible only for a short time.

I just tried it myself.    The person receives a link to the login page, just like any new user.   It looks like they’re supposed to login.   However, there’s also an option to create a new account.   It’s not obvious, but they’re supposed to create a new account at that point.  (Or login with their own credentials if they already have an account).    From there they have access to the configuration you assigned to them.
I tried the whole procedure with a separate email account I have.   Then I revoked the access.   The new account still has an active account, but no longer has access to the configuration

What I’m seeing indicates you’re giving access to a particular  configuration, not your entire account.

it’s a beta feature so perhaps they’ll clarify how it works before removing the Beta tag.

Calvin Hobbes In the email with invitation link there should be an explanation that you need to create your own account. That's where I get lost. There also should be information what kind of access you will have (Editor/Viewer).

I agree with you that by giving an access to somebody you should be able to force 2FA .

servilo considering it’s beta, and AFAIK, they haven’t publicly announced it, maybe the instructions will improve.   Hopefully, they’re watching the community for any mentions

I’ll add that my own account requires 2FA.   There wasn’t any option to force the new user to also use 2FA.   I’d personally want to enforce 2FA to anyone I provide access to my configuration.
