Windows 10 error: the system cannot find the file specified

When installing the  program I get the above error message (see attached image). It occurs on 2 different machines and I get the same error message when starting up the computers after it's been installed.
I don't know what's causing it but the fact that it occurs on 2 different systems and is still trying to find the files whenever it boots up tells me something is wrong.

Let me know if you need any additional information  and I'll send it along

    Hi,

Can you check the Windows Defender Panel to see if a threat has been detected for NextDNS ? This can explain why NextDNS doesn't work. For example, my NextDNS app has been updated recently and now i have this error on Windows Defender Panel : A Trojan has been detected:

    Trojan:Win32/Zpevdo.B.

    file: C:\Program Files (x86)\NextDNS\NextDNSService.exe

    I think it's a false positive...

    Bye !

EDIT : NextNDS confirms that it's a false positive (https://help.nextdns.io/t/83hf4sr/nextdns-2-0-3-detected-by-kaspersky).

    Mathéo ,

Nextdns works, that is not the issue, and is it not detected as a threat.

    Thanks

I was experiencing the issue and found a solution on reddit:https://www.reddit.com/r/nextdns/comments/f2azbe/error_during_windows_app_installation/

The TAP adapter had been disabled. Re-enabling it fixed the problem.

Talk about a poor error message to describe the problem that's occurring.
