NextDNS macOS app installs but does not launch on macOS Tahoe 26.2 (Apple Silicon M4)
Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with the NextDNS macOS app on a MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon M4) running macOS Tahoe 26.2.
What works
The app installs successfully (no errors during installation).
DNS filtering appears to work correctly at the system level.
The problem
The NextDNS app UI does not launch at all.
No window opens, no error message is displayed.
The app does not appear in the Dock or show any visible UI after launch.
What I’ve tried
Restarting macOS
Reinstalling the NextDNS app
Checking Accessibility / Privacy permissions
Environment
macOS: Tahoe 26.2
Hardware: MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon M4)
Architecture: ARM64
This looks like a compatibility issue with macOS 26.x and/or the new M4 Apple Silicon architecture.
The service itself works great, but the macOS app seems unable to start on this configuration.
Has anyone else experienced this on macOS Tahoe or M4 hardware?
Any known workaround or logs I should provide?
Thanks!
