MacOS – The ‘VPN Service’ payload could not be installed

Hi! When trying to install the DNS configuration, I get an error: 

The ‘VPN Service’ payload could not be installed. The VPN service could not be created.

The error persists whether or not I enable the "trust root certificate" option when downloading. I am on MacOS Tahoe. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

    I was able to install the profile on my Mac still running 26.0, but it fails on 26.1.

    Broken for me as well on 26.1 - you also can't remove previously installed profiles. 

    Had a call with an "Apple Support Specialist" today and after 30 minutes of troubleshooting couldn't find the culprit, said he would investigate and call me back tomorrow. 

     

    Glad to know it's an actual bug.. let's see how long Apple will take to fix or if there are workarounds to be found.

       It seems to be a bug in 26.1. All profile installs fail, regardless of the source.

       I believe the ControlD guys just fixed it, try to download a fresh profile from their website, free DNS as well.
