DoT (port 853) is not reliably answering today

I have a paid plan.  Been a next DNS customer for years.  It is normally great.

I run a pihole on my LAN.  I use stubby to connect to nextDNS using DoT.  It has worked in this configuration for an extended period (6 months?  ...I was doing DoH for several years before moving to DoT.)

Today I have been getting lookup failures.  Not EVERY lookup fails but enough that its been a real bear to use the internet. 

So, in stubby I swapped out my nextDNS servers to quad9 servers and everything is super snappy again. 

Does nextDNS have a dashboard that shows server stats?  I'd like to be able to diagnose this faster next time.  The behavior looks like "some" nextDNS servers behind the load balancer are not properly answering on 853.

    Well, quad9 working as a stand in for nextdns was a red herring.  I still have the problem so it's on my end.  I came back to delete this post because I didn't want anyone wasting time working on it.  But I don't see how to do that.

    I would still like a stats dashboard
