Is configuring the dns enough for my setup to work
My Nextdns setup page says : This device is using NextDNS with no configuration , yet the configuration is applied and i cannot access the blocked websites.
Is linking the ip address mandatory ? Or configuring the private dns ip will do it?

Linking IP it's only for IPv4.
Private DNS, I guess you are talking about android, uses DoT, not IP.

My use of the term private dns is misleading, sorry for that
What i meant is simply the ipv4 dns address assigned to my configuration.
