Facebook.com blocked on desktop but not on mobile (NextDNS set at router level)

I added facebook.com to the Denylist and also under Parental Control in NextDNS. On my desktop, it’s working fine I can’t access the site. But on both Android and iPhone (connected to the same Wi-Fi), facebook.com still loads in browsers and the app still works. I’ve already set up NextDNS at the router level, so I expected all devices to follow the same filtering rules. Is this a bug, or are mobile devices bypassing the DNS somehow?

The mobile devices could well be bypassing your NextDNS setup. It is very easy to do and even some browsers & apps have a built in way to access DNS directly.

I advise you also check the Setup Guide on the Setup tab of your NextDNS profile - for guides on how to configure your mobile devices to always use DNS from NextDNS and not the default one the OS provides.
