DNS-over-TLS on FritzBox seem to fallback to ISP ones every hour or so

I have a FritzBox 7530 AX and I set DNS over TLS on it. However every one hour or so the DNS seem to fail and it goes back to using the ISP DNS. I live in Italy if that matters.

The log says: There is no longer a connection to the encrypted DNS servers.

Moin, mach mal den Haken bei Fallback to public DNS servers when DNS disrupted raus.

I've already tried and that doesn't fix the problem unfortunately.

Mach noch den Haken raus bei Allow fallback to non-encrypted name resolution in the internet.

I've also tried that. No results...

Würdest du auch DoH anstatt DoT nutzen?

I don't use DoH as I want to set my DNS profile in the router (and I don't see any option in FritzBox to use DoH). By the way I can't speak german, I'm using a translator.

Ich muss für Englisch auch einen Übersetzer nutzen.😆

Hast du das neueste Fritz OS installiert?

Was ist wenn du DoT in der FRITZ!Box deaktivierst?

Nothing in particular. It uses ISP's DNS and works normally.

Also, a little note. Every time the FritzBox fallbacks to the ISP's DNS what I do is disabling DoT and re-enabling it. It goes back to using Next DNS correctly by re-setting it. But then it's a matter of hours and the problem comes again.

ace4eme Hast du in deinem Betriebssystem bei IPv4 und IPv6 NextDNS als bevorzugten und alternativen DNS Resolver festgelegt?

No I haven't. That would be another solution, but I'd like to have them on the router so that every device can benefit from Next DNS

Ich würde dir empfehlen diese Einstellungen im Betriebssystem zu setzen. Vielleicht ist das Problem dann ja weg.

Hi, thanks for sharing your solution. I'll try that. What do the "1" and the "2" do in the URLs?
