Cannot connect to DNS on Galaxy S4

Hey! So I was having issues connecting to NextDNS, starting yesterday (05/25/2026) at roughly 04:08 CST, on my Galaxy S4. I have been using it for months on here, so this is pretty abrupt, and seemingly all of my other devices connect to it fine. I've been using Intra to securely connect, but I have also tried other DNS filtering apps and they don't work either. I believe this has something to do with the TLS version used to connect, as I saw that in the log of a different DNS app that also failed to connect, but I'm not sure. Is there any potential way to fix it, or is it an issue on NextDNS's side?

Some details you can use. Ask me for more later if you need them.

It might be some expired CA certificate(s) in your device. I have no idea which one exactly is needed and if you can find and install one but take a look at this: https://help.nextdns.io/t/x2hf9dk/how-will-i-use-nextdns-in-the-near-future

You can try some DNS app that allows you to use DoT, you might have more luck than with DoH. Or if you find some DNS app that has it's own certificate, maybe AdGuard....
