Android Hotspot

I have a Pixel 5 and when I have NextDNS enabled in the Private DNS setting the Hotspot feature doesn't work. As soon as i disable Private DNS Hotspot starts working again. Any ideas how to get both working as I use hotspot a lot then forget to turn Private DNS back on.
