Very slow resolution

Have a DECO M4 Tplink mesh router. Setup the recommended 45.90.28.15 and 45.90.30.15 NextDNS servers for the network (Internet connection > IPV4 > primary and secondary DNS) but *very* slow resolution.

Traceroute on an android device acting as client of the network (no local DNS set other than the router) gives the attached where the latency is seen. Seemingly many hops to get to the DNS server, with some hops being very slow.

I know I can set the nextdns DNS in the phone itself, but I want this working at the root in the router so all devices benefit automatically.

Any advice?

NextDNS Network any feedback? Not seen a reply for a while and looks like your DNS is unstable due to the very high latency.

Hi, doesn't seem to have improved really. Latest traceroute to 45.90.28.15 is attached
