is there something going on with the servers in KUL? or our ISP is redirecting port 53 traffic (transparent DNS routing) in Malaysia?

  I had to change dns from nextdns to cloudflare to make internet usable.

  BTW i did a ping from my mobile phone with nextdns as resolver. see attached screenshot. response time and behaviour per normal.
  
  Am beginning to suspect it's related to my broadband service provider.

Hai,

I'm not an expert, but can you try tracert -d (anyblocked website for example hdtoday.tv) while using nextdns DNS and share here?

If no problem, it will show the public IP instead of private IP 172 like that. Last week, all provider in Malaysia are required to redirect to the ISP DNS. But supposedly have no issue now since the they already cancel it.

  after so many days.. TM (unifi) came out to state today that they had a submarine cable cut. experiencing poor traffic and bear with them. WTF.
