The coub.com website does not open when using some servers.

Hello. I noticed that the coub.com website is broken when using the "hostens-vno" and "edis-vno" servers, as well as "anexia-iev".

There may be more servers, I don't know.

You can check this yourself. For example, use the DoH address in your browser settings.

Just paste the entire domain:

https://hostens-vno-1.edge.nextdns.io

or

https://edis-vno-1.edge.nextdns.io

or

https://anexia-iev-1.edge.nextdns.io

If you want to link your account, do the following:

https://hostens-vno-1.edge.nextdns.io/YourID

Coub support replied that nothing is blocked on their end.

For example, when using "anexia-waw" or "vultr-fra" or "zepto-fra" the site opens normally.

The problem has been solved. I don't know on whose side.

The problem is real and it's not my fault. I'm sure of it. Read the background before asking questions.

Here is an example of a NOT problematic server.

What could be the problem then?
If anyone knows anything, please help me figure this out.

Why do you have myid written at the end after the slash?

Everything's fine. I hid/replaced the data I didn't want anyone to see using developer tools. A simple page refresh returns everything to normal.

You know what you can do? You can using function "NEW REWRITE" the IP address for this site in the settings (it's the last tab in your personal account). The website (archive is) has the same problem.  This site also opens in France and Russia, but as far as I've seen, it doesn't open with DNS in Australia and Germany, for example. Sometimes, some DNS servers from NextDNS in the US don't opening this website

What exactly do I need to do? Add the domain coub and its IP address? What's the point? I did that, but nothing changed (for the better). I'm checking by opening the site in incognito mode to avoid DNS caching.

No, no. You enter the website name in the first field, and in the lower field, you enter not its IP, but a completely different one.

There (users complained on the local forums)  was the same problem here, with a completely different site, and other users suggested this solution to the problem.

It was solved the same way. Or use a different DNS that doesn't cause problems. I'm talking about a different DNS, from nextDNS.

This is completely pointless. The coub domain will try to access someone else's IP address, and as a result, accessing the site will result in an error.

Using a different DNS provider is also not a solution, especially since I showed in the second video that the site opens with the registered server (DoH) in Germany.

get it. So why don't you use a German server in that case? Why are you torturing yourself? Are you unhappy with the speed of the German DNS or something?

I may have seen a message from NextDNS support here on the forum, or maybe Quad9 support (when I used their services) told me it's best not to change the default values. In the case of NextDNS for DOH, the correct path would be "
      https://dns.nextdns.io/my_id." I don't know why.

For your information, the Cub website opens fine on a phone. On a PC, it doesn't work properly in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
The phone also uses nextdns and a "problematic server". Attached a video file

What he was saying is this:

https://my.nextdns.io/settings - Rewrite - New rewrite and add this domains and this IPs.

    coub.com → 95.213.253.92

    assets-cdn-s.coub.com → 37.9.38.38

    attachments-cdn-s.coub.com → 37.9.38.38

If after you try this maybe you could also try to see if you have problems when using a VPN.

Thanks. I wouldn't have thought to (or maybe I did, but later) check the Cube CDN IP.
In the command line (they returned a different address for me):
nslookup coub. com (returned the same IP) 95.213.253.92
      But the CDNs are different.
      nslookup assets-cdn-s.coub. com - 95.213.253.92
      nslookup attachments-cdn-s.coub. com - 95.213.253.92.
I redirected them to the ip addresses you specified and everything worked.

So, I take it there's no point in contacting Coub support? To fix the situation.

I forgot to add the screenshot to see how it should look, each domain and IP  on a new rewrite.

The website doesn't work well from some countries, it might be because of all the liberty and freedom from Europe...

    *  If you don't have Autoplay - Allowed in Site settings in the browser the videos will not play at all, it will be only audio. It drived me nuts why it was not working on Brave but did so on Firefox and Web video cast...
