NextDNS does not auto start at login on Mac Ventura 13.5 Intel

Setting the preferences to "Start at Login" does not work. I have to manually start it from the Applications list. This has been ongoing for several earlier OS versions as well. After checking "Start at Login", power down. Then power up and NextDNS is not running.
