UniFi OS - Dream Machines 2.4.23

Hi,

 

Anybody using the NextDNS client on a Unifi UDM device?

There is now a new major release (2.4.x) avail and I am unsure if the NextDNS client will still be supported or operational.

    In 2.4+ podman is removed which was how I believe I had nextdns running on it in the past, however re-running the installation script here: https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/wiki seemed to indicate it completed, and I could see dns config was green on my.nextdns.io.

    However after reboot it wasn't working for me, and I had to run nextdns restart twice to get it working. 

    I'm going to follow https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/issues/774 and share this

    EDIT: I should mention that previous to this, I also reinstalled unifios-utilities on_boot.d to add ssh keys, which reinstalled podman. I'm not sure if this affects the situation.

      Can't re-edit but I was wrong about podman being installed, so disregard that statement.
