Request to Route Connection to Specific Server (anexia-hkg)

Dear NextDNS Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I have been using NextDNS with the default configuration on my TP-Link router, using the following DNS addresses:

  • 45.90.28.53

  • 45.90.30.53

Previously, my connection was consistently routed to the anexia-hkg server, which provided excellent performance. However, in recent days, I have noticed that my connection is now being routed to the gsl-per server instead. Unfortunately, this server results in significantly higher ping and degraded performance for my usage.

I would like to kindly request your assistance in configuring or adjusting my setup so that I can be routed back to the anexia-hkg server, or at least avoid being connected to the gsl-per server.

If there are any settings or custom configurations I should apply to achieve this, please let me know. I'm happy to provide additional details such as my IP address or logs if needed.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards

Hello, it's been a few days since I submitted this request. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could take a look and advise on the routing issue.

To improve things you would need to switch to using the secure DNS protocols (DoH, DoT and QUIC) without bootstrapping. You will then be using the “ultralow” servers.

Unfortunately, my TP-Link AX55 Pro V2 router doesn't support DoH or DoT. I've already contacted TP-Link to request support for these features, but I haven't received any response from them yet.

Hi, If you cannot configure one of the secure protocols (DoH, Dot and QUIC) on your router you must do it on each of your connected devices separately
