Feature Request: Bulk Domain Blocking Support

Dear NextDNS Team,

First of all, thank you for your excellent service — NextDNS has been instrumental in keeping our network secure and efficient.

I would like to bring up a feature request or ask for guidance regarding a recurring challenge we face.

We receive 40–50 suspicious or malicious domains daily from cybersecurity sources (such as SOC or CSIRT teams), which we need to block as part of our routine threat mitigation process. Currently, the only way to add domains to the Denylist is one by one, which is extremely time-consuming and not scalable.

So I would like to ask:

Is there currently a way to block multiple domains at once, for example:

  • By pasting a list of domains into the Denylist in bulk (e.g., from a TXT or CSV)?

  • By referencing a public GitHub repository or raw .txt file that NextDNS can automatically load and keep updated (similar to custom blocklists)?

  • Or perhaps via a public API to automate domain blocking from internal tools?

This functionality would be extremely helpful for those of us involved in daily incident response and organizational security operations, where manual entry simply isn’t practical.

Thank you in advance for your reply — and please consider this feature for future development if it’s not currently possible.

Wishing you continued success and best regards

George

In the absence of a native way to do this in NextDNS, you might consider giving this add-on a try. It can handle bulk domain additions to deny/allow lists:

Also, you could leverage this functionality to export a config, modify it programmatically using offline tooling, then import it back into NextDNS:
