Disable doesn't Disable

Hello, Occasionally when I attempt to "unsubscribe" from mailing list I get a notice the NextDNS is blocking an ad tracker at the site which prevents me from accessing the site and unsubscribing. If I disable NextDNS I would expect I would be able to "pass thru" and unsubscribe, but that isn't the case it remains blocked. I'm running Mac OS Monterey 12.5 and have tried this with both Safari and Firefox. Doesn't "disable", disable NextDNS?
