NextDNS client not working after wake from sleep
Hello – I'm using NextDNS 1.4.3 on MacOS 11.1. Over the past week or so, every time I've woken my computer up from sleep, NextDNS will not connect and I get no internet. I've tried disabling and re-enabling, but the only solution is to quit it and then reopen it. Once reopened, it connects fine!

I'm experiencing a similar problem. Often, but not always, when my computer wakes from sleep, nothing will connect to the internet until I disable and re-enable the NextDNS app. I'm happy to troubleshoot if given some direction. I'm on macOS 11.2.1, NextDNS 1.4.3. Thanks!

This is an Apple bug with their network stack following sleep, we've brought this up with them, not much we can do ourselves unfortunately. Please report it to them as well if you can.

That's weird, I'm on 11.2.1 as well and I don't see this behavior. Is it only when the Mac has been in sleep mode a long time? If so, how long?

This issue is still present.
NextDNS has some pretty nast routing issues and little bugs here and there vs zero trust Cloudflare for example, I can only assume to the imperfect nature NextDNS has been showing the issue is related to nextdns.why does NextDNS need to be turned on and off to work on apple devices when my zero trust dns doesn’t? Why is it always NextDNS with the issues?
This issue is unacceptable as it breaks network connectivity when he device is closed and sleeping.
same issue with IOS, Mac, and guess what even android and I’ve seen the same issue on windows less often but it is there.
Pretty sure it’s a NextDNS issue to be honest because again other dns services don’t do this.
Has this been corrected? Is there a workaround? Currently it’s unacceptable that the dns service is preforming inferior to competitors which is why I don’t think it’s a “blame apples network stack”.

Hope there is a solution to this, 2+ years later.
