Higher ping and different DNS resolution.
Hello, i find this quite interesting, if i'm using the DNS from "Telecom Italia", an italian provider e get:
ping google.it
PING google.it (216.58.206.67): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=0 ttl=113 time=13.240 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=1 ttl=113 time=13.653 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=2 ttl=113 time=19.636 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=3 ttl=113 time=19.839 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=4 ttl=113 time=13.801 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=5 ttl=113 time=19.660 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=6 ttl=113 time=18.625 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.206.67: icmp_seq=7 ttl=113 time=20.732 ms
if i do the same, but with nextdns DNS, i get:
ping google.it
PING google.it (216.58.211.3): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=0 ttl=54 time=47.729 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=1 ttl=54 time=51.652 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=2 ttl=54 time=46.144 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=3 ttl=54 time=52.402 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=4 ttl=54 time=46.086 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=5 ttl=54 time=52.084 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=6 ttl=54 time=51.793 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=7 ttl=54 time=52.304 ms
64 bytes from 216.58.211.3: icmp_seq=8 ttl=54 time=52.639 ms
So i get a different address resolution that has an higher Ping (about 30+ more ms), is it possibile to do something?
Thanks a lot

It's because your servers are closer, and nextdns usually doesn't pick the fastest one (since it picks the most stable and reliable with acceptable speed) and because of blocklists, since blocklists takes up a lot of hardware for it to work, so yeah, do the test with all security and privacy measures off temporarily and see if there is a difference in speed
