Changing provided DNS servers

Firstly, my apologies if this has been asked. All I could find was people trying to choose a different DNS server using the provided apps.

What I'm looking for is to select the DNS servers that are provided on the config page under Linked IP.

Pinging either of the 2 provided addresses returns a latency of around 70-80ms

If I navigate to https://ping.nextdns.io I can see that there's a server in my country with around 15-20ms, which is obviously neither of the two ones provided in the config page. I know my local server's IP from https://router.nextdns.io/ but I can't use it to resolve anything and even if I could, there's no way to link my configuration to it since it's not the one listed in the config.

Am I missing something here or am I forced to use the two provided servers instead of the one that's locally in my country?

This from what I see happens because of bad routing, NextDNS should ask you for a few tests and hopefully it's fixed. Otherwise you can force a server through DoH but NextDNS doesn't recommend it because the whole Anycast idea disappears and you force a single server.

How did you setup nextdns? Some locations will only be selected when using DoH/DoT without a bootstrap IP.

      NextDNS
With the exception of my phone which is using DoH, I haven't yet setup anything else.

I was ready to link my public IP under the "Linked IP" and add the two provided DNS servers to my ISP's router and that's when I decided to ping the two servers to check my latency towards them. As I said in my original post, it was around 70-80ms. This took me down a wild goose chase trying to figure out if there's a way to change the two provided servers to ones that are closer to my location. That's how I found out about https://ping.nextdns.io/ and that there's a server in my country with a quarter of the latency.

I can setup NextDNS individually on my devices with DoH since that method guarantees that I'm using the local DNS server, but for devices that can only utilise the "Linked IP" method I am stuck with the two provided servers.

It would be great if it was possible to change those two addresses to other servers that are closer to my location. I don't even know how those 2 servers are even selected, since i've seen others have different set of servers to what I have, so I can only assume there is some logic behind it.

NextDNS I've got the output in a text file. The automatic upload failed with error 400. How do you want me to send it to you?

NextDNS I rerun the test and it gave me a link with the results. Do you want me to PM the link to you?

NextDNS I understand you might be understaffed when it comes to support, but you're really not selling this service when you're ignoring potential customers trying to work with you to figure out what's going on.
