Is it possible to ONLY allow whitelisted urls ?

Hi,

I'm wondering if NextDNS can allow only whitelisted urls to be browsed ? I want to manage my kids access only based on wanted sites (blacklist can't allow that kind of configuration).

Thanks.

    URLs no

    Domains/Subdomains yes

You would likely have to block the most common TLDs (.com, .net, .org, etc) and then add the desired TLD(s) to the allow list. However I wouldn't recommend this unless you know exactly what you're doing as it can cause more problems than it's worth

For clarification you can't add entire TLDs to the allowlist but you can add root domains to the allowlist (e.g., google.com, amazon.com, facebook.com). However allowing "google.com" isn't going to allow Google's other domain names like gvt.com, doubleclick.net, gstatic.com, etc. Most vendors have multiple domain names which is why this is usually more trouble than it's worth and would be easier to just use blocking options under "Parental Control" or manually add domains/subdomains as needed to the allowlist or denylist
