How does DNS work if I set DNS in my pc and main router at the same time?

Hi

Could someone explain how it works if I set DNS on both my PC and the main router at the same time?

The main router is shared with my family, but we all use the same internet connection.

1. 1. On my PC, which DNS setting takes priority?
2. 2. If I visit some websites using my PC, which DNS setting will log the visited domains — my PC’s or the router’s? Or both?
