UniFi is having trouble with this direction Sorry about that. Please press reload button to try again.

Hi all,

I just started using nextDNS and got everything up and running except for one thing: connecting remotly to my Unifi cloud controller.

I am able to use my local ip-adres to browse to my controller.
I am able to use the app IF I connect to the local IP adres of my controller.

BUT:
I am not able anymore to use the app to connect to my setup in the usual way (as if it is a remote controller).
I also noticed that connecting to my controller from The unifi website is not OK anymore:
- I can browse to https://unifi.ui.com/dashboard and I see my controller
- but when I select it to open the management GUI, I get this error:
"UniFi is having trouble with this directionSorry about that. Please press reload button to try again."

SO, I googled and found this topic:
https://community.ui.com/questions/UniFi-is-having-trouble-with-this-direction-Unify-Protect-andand-Unify-Network/8f3693d3-6443-4754-8e8e-179dbcfced2d
And the solution is to use the google DNS-servers on the controller.
"I had to set the cloud key IP to a static IP and used 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.4.4 as my DNS (Probably local DNS or any other one works too. I did not try). Now I can access from outside and everything is working."

But this kind of defeats the purpose of using nextDNS...

Is there a domain I can allow or a setting I should modigy to make this work again?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Bart
