NextDNS not working iOS 16.5.1

After logging in to my account, the NextDNS website shows me as not using NextDNS.

In the Settings app on the iPhone , I do not see NextDNS as an option under my WiFi network in the DNS section.

I uninstalled the NextDNS app and reinstalled it. When attempting to enable it, the app says: “In the Settings app, navigate to General - VPN & Network - DNS and select NextDNS.”

But I don’t see DNS under VPN in Settings. I do have NextDNS selected under Settings->General->VPN, DNS, & Device Management->Restrictions and Proxies->DNS 

Previously NextDNS was working without a specific configuration profile.

The NextDNS app on iOS was last updated two years ago. It seems like NextDNS is not keeping up with changes in iOS.

Other than installing a configuration profile, are there other ways to troubleshoot this and make it work? I’d like to use the NextDNS app to disable or enable it easily.

Update: I installed the NextDNS configuration profile, but the website still shows I’m not using NextDNS.

    It’s sad that this is not working on Apple TV with a profile either.

    @NextDNS Any responses on updates to make it work on the latest iOS/iPadOS?

       it does work perfectly here, maybe your isp blocks encrypted dns, turn the option ultra low latency off
