Certain urls are not blocked even though they are in the deny list

I’m attempting to block ads on Amazon Prime Video that is running on my LG WebOS TV, as a result I put in the deny list unagi-eu.amazon.com and unagi-na.amazon.com, however the url doesn’t get blocked and if I try with my iPad tied with NextDNS and same configuration of the smart TV the dns lookup occurs successfully. When I inspect the log the domains appears as solved correctly. This happens only with these two, the other blocking rules are working fine. How Possible is that.

I'd suggest checking if the TV actually performs those DNS queries over NextDNS

IIRC some newer TVs have started using the manufacturer's (or google's) DNS for advertisement shi-ahem "stuff"

If you want to fully block those domains my in that case is you'd need some type of active blocking (IE. full firewall and data interception, think MiTM but intentional and wanted)

You can check if any of the TV's queries show up over NextDNS in the first place.

To do that I'd suggest going in the browser and with NextDNS logs enabled try going to like example[.]site or something recognizable that wouldn't be queried otherwise, if you see it in the logs then you know it is at least querying some over NextDNS. If not you should check your setup.
