Not exactly true.

You can have more than one browser in your device and you can use different DNS configurations or providers. If you have «Block Bypass Methods» on you can disable it or leave it on and add the specific one to the «Allowlist». Like this you can always have a browser where you can access what it is normally blocked or to check if a problem occurs if it is from something blocked on NextDNS or not.

You can have multiple browsers each with it's own DNS or profile in NextDNS case for example. So the device has one profile and the browser(s) a different one. Or the device has NextDNS and the browser has AdGuard DNS for example. 

The easiest way is to add NextDNS with a configuration without anything blocked or partial protection (if you care about logs) or even without any profile «https://dns.nextdns.io»  (this works even with «Block Bypass Methods» on and you don't need to add anything to the «Allowlist») but this will not appear in your logs and you will not have any protection on the browser, but at least you don't let your whole device unprotected.
