Some questions...
Hello,
I find NextDNS very interesting, so I went around and thought I'd write an article. But I have some questions:
- What's the use of the linked IP? (I have two vDSL, so two public IPs + 1 failover in 4g). It means that I'm not on the linked IP, I lose the benefit and I switch back to standard DNS?
- Windows DNS server doesn't support DNS over TLS as forwarders, so it's unusable if the IP changes (Yoga is not really a viable alternative).
- If I use DNS over HTTPS on a cell phone, does it make the linked ip jump off my desktop?
- Unless the linked iP is used to restrict subscription?
- DNS over HTTPS works on Opera, Edge (Chromium MS) and blocked on Chrome or Brave on the grounds that these browsers would be managed, which is not the case?
- French community welcome ;-)
Merci !

Link IP is only useful if you need to use plain old unencrypted DNS on port 53 with IPv4. All other setup solutions do not need link IP.
Check https://help.nextdns.io/t/m1hmv0k/which-setup-type-to-use for more info.
