Yandex Safe Search

I was very surprised that Yandex does not activate safe search with your DNS, but I was even more surprised that it was not blocked. This is strange, considering what percentage of the world market it occupies ya.ru .

Cloudflare and many other DNS providers have been working with Yandex for a long time. Please filter it out as soon as possible!

NextDNS can only send a CNAME signal (or resolve to a specific IP), this is supported by Google and Bing, but I can't find any documentation for such in Yandex, so it's in Yandex to implement them. In the meantime just block Yandex entirely if you don't want it.

My bad, turns out there *is* a specific IP to enforce safe search in Yandex. I guess the intersection between NextDNS user and those that want Yandex safe search is minimal considering you're the first one to bring this issue.

In the meantime you can just add a rewrite manually for your own profile, the IP is listed in Yandex' Family search for organizations article.

I can somehow filter Yandex on my own in my.nextdns.io ? Hosts just doesn't look very convenient. In any case, Yandex treats me with hostility when I use your DNS, so I'll ask you to do it. This is a very good search engine, and I need it in my work. I would be very grateful!

Language barrier, I guess. It's easier with pictures.

Try this: go to my.nextdns.io - Settings - Rewrites and do like in pictures.

Add yandex.com if you use it. If not do it only for ya.ru
