Navigation logs retention

Hi,

i have 2 questions about retention policies in NextDNS:

As per the local regulation in Switzerland, are you forced to archive logs for a certain amount of time (see last know recent case with ProtonMail)?

i mean I wish to keep my logs for 1 hour in my admin portal, or maybe I wish to not keep any log. Does this mean for sure my logs aren’t kept anywhere in case of police investigation?

also, when I reach the 300k requests limit with a free account, I don’t see any more request logged from my device in my monitoring admin portl. In that specific case how long do you keep the logs on your side?

We only keep logs for the retention duration the user configured. If logs are disabled, our DNS edge server won’t even produce logs for this configuration. They are not emitted and thrown away but never created instead. Our DNS edge will also omit the parts you disabled at the source in case the domain or client IP are disabled.
