Cannot Override DNS 1 and DNS 2 on Smartphones

Hello,

I change both DNS addresses to NextDNS but when I check my current DNS addresses on a website, it shows 2 DNS addresses that belong to Google and 1 DNS address that belongs to other provider.

I tried IPv4 DNS addresses and IPv6 addresses that NextDNS provides me with but it made no difference.

NextDNS dashboard also tells me that I am not connected to its DNS addresses:

"This device is currently using ”Google DNS” as DNS resolver."

This issue is present on both of my Samsung smartphones. Haven't checked PC but I think it will be same.

Did you try the "private DNS" Android feature already?

It works on my Android 10 smartphone but Android 8 on my other smartphone does not have that feature.

Boris Get Intra or Nebulo and set your NextDNS DoH there.

Boris yeah that feature was introduced with Android 9.

You shouldn't use outdated OS versions anyway

DynamicNotSlow I wouldn't if update was available but it is not any longer.

Martheen Jigsaw are developers for Intra but they are linked to Google. I trust Nebulo more. Thanks.
