Is it normal with 10% of cellular-data used for DNS-queries?!

I just checked some statistics at the end of the month under cellular-usage on my iPhone and noticed 'DNS-services' had used 520 MB when my total data-usage was 5,3 GB the same period. Almost 10% of all traffic was DNS-queries! Is this normal?!

I'm using the NextDNS App with 'Send device name' turned on. Could this be the reason since it's 18 characters (the name of my phone) extra that's transferred in each query?!

    Have you enabled ULL?
It’s probably because of the ULL functionality. It always connect to steering.nextdns.io to connect you to the nearest server.

Anownymous Yes, ULL is on. Good point and sounds like an explanation 👍 Will test without it for a while and monitor DNS usage.
