CLI - Mac OSX El Capitan - _clock_gettime

Hi,

I've been using the CLI on an older mac mini running El Capitan 10.11.6. I upgraded the CLI recently and now I get this error.

INFO: LATEST_RELEASE: 1.32.2

dyld: Symbol not found: _clock_gettime

  Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/nextdns

  Expected in: flat namespace

Any ideas on what to do?  Maybe the CLI was updated to use a feature not supported by older Mac OSX? Just trying to determine if there's possibility to keep using the old Mac before I abandon it and look for another device to run CLI.

Thanks in advance for any help/feedback.

This issue is related to an outdate Xcode command-line-utils

Update to the latest Xcode otherwise am afraid it's a new OS

Alternatively as NextDNS suggest on the CLI wiki page - try the Official App

    Official App

    1. Install our official app from the Mac App Store → https://apps.apple.com/app/nextdns/id1464122853.
    2. In the app menu, click on Preferences… then enter your configuration ID as Custom config.
    3. In the app menu, click Connect.

Thanks. I’ll look into Xcode support on older Mac.

I use the official app on my MacBook Pro.  I was using the CLI on the old Mac Mini for other devices that can’t use the official app.   …If I run the official app on the Mac Mini, would it handle DNS for other devices like CLI? …I’m guessing not but hadn’t thought about it before.

It is possible to have different DNS configurations and then apply any one of them to individual devices via the app using the unique ID of each DNS configuration
