NextDNS is linking the wrong ip

Hey. I have a strange problem: nextdns is recognizing my ip incorrectly.

The ip it linked through the ui (and through the link-ip url) is wrong. It is totally different than the ip I see in whatismyip.com or any other site alike.

Tried both from my laptop and from my TV.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Do you have a static or dynamic ip?

Greg B. Dynamic, but  I can't even make it work for a second because the ip detection is wrong in nextdns... That's the problem, I am getting a different IP address ONLY in nextdns. All other sites see the same IP, which is different than the one nextdns sees.

Ron How do you have NextDNS setup? (browser, ipv4/6, app, etc)

Do you have a VPN setup, or apple private relay enabled or are you behind a CGNAT? Please DM us the result of https://test.nextdns.io as well as the IP seen by whatismyip.com.

I'm behind Tmo home internet CGNAT, and stuck with this issue of my nextdns detected IP not matching my real? IP as reported by every other website.

I can't re-link my DDNS (duckdns) due to the "security issues" that my IP doesn't match the detected IP.  I deleted it to try and re-link and fix the issues I'm suddenly having.

This was the same behavior as a while back when I started using nextdns, but after syncing with my DDNS it was fine. Somehow this time it's stuck and broken.

None of the results from https://test.nextdns.io/ match the IP other sites say I'm using, though they match the pattern of Tmo ranges.

Also - everything WAS working just fine for 1yr+ and just recently seems to have broken down.

P Pace You’re better off using the other protocols behind a CGNAT. Linking IP just won’t work right if your ISP sticks you behind CGNAT.

R P M Thanks!  For others' reference... I used this on my DD-WRT router to solve my issues:
      https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/wiki/DDWRT

Works fine over CGNAT since it's linking to my account by account ID not IP.
