NextDNS Should Add HaGeZi TIF and OISD NFSW

NextDNS is great, but it’s missing two key blocklists: HaGeZi TIF and OISD NSFW. Here’s why they should be added:

  • HaGeZi TIF provides excellent coverage of threat intelligence feeds, offering robust protection against malicious domains, phishing, and security threats. It’s well-maintained and would significantly boost NextDNS's security-focused filtering.

  • OISD NSFW is a highly effective list for blocking adult content, filling a gap in NextDNS’s content filtering options. It’s comprehensive and updated regularly.

It’s unclear why these popular and community-requested lists haven’t been added yet, especially when some blocklists on NextDNS are outdated or unmaintained. Adding HaGeZi TIF and OISD NSFW would give users more control and better protection.

Dev NextDNS replied that the sources in Hagezi's TIF are mostly already in NextDNS's TIF. It is categorized into the Security tag, while the Privacy tab with filters to block ads and trackers.

I think having more small, partial low risk lists, especially in security area, is better than less huge all in one lists.  So dont agree with their reply.

    NextDNS already has a TIF

And it might also have some form of NSFW blocking

Sadly the message is lost, NextDNS seem to think we want a big list as possible, that has as much as possible in it, nope just want Hagezi TIF by itself.  Is there even a list maintainer employed at NextDNS now, given the static configuration.
