Block YouTube on Safari iOS

Let me give the background.

I have two iPads with Next DNS configured with. Kids profile.  All works great.

the two iPads currently run an unrestricted access to the internet and NextDns take care of the blocking/ filtering.  This makes it easier when my kids are doing home work and opening links from the school in not having to allow them each time safari

now my son has found a way to watch YouTube (he is 10) via safari when his iPad hits a screen time limit on YouTube kids app.

Is there a way to block the main YouTube website on safari still allow the app to work. I.e does YouTube kids use a different DNS name vs YouTube.com

if he already figure id out any block you put in will encourage to find a workaround :-)

but I was thinking (im not IOS person).
         A) in safari (if its possible) set specific DNS for separate nextdns profile which will block youtube completly

        B) unistall safari and install like firefox, chrome etc and set the separate nextdns profile in the setting of the browser (that nextdns profile will strictly block youtube)

@mike_guthrie I know this can be challenging. They don't make kids like they used to and they're now smarter than ever and find ways around all sorts of things. 😋

An alternate idea is to block youtube.com & www.youtube.com, but leave www.youtubekids.com unblocked. Then just have your son continue to use Safari, and only be able to access the www.youtubekids.com version of YouTube. Would that work?
