    ok i know what is the issue - but dont know how to solve it without any third party app.

    the Laptop is connected via DoH ( https://dns.nextdns.io/xxxxxx).

    my android 14 is only connected via DoT (xxxxxx.dns.nextdns.io) (port 853) and the university likely block this port.

    now i know there are apps like Intra that can route connection via DoH - but i dont want to use it since it do take lot of battery - i have checked)

    and i really want to have protected use in my phone without the need to turn on/off the third party app.

    if anyone knows/have an experience on android 14 (Galaxy S 23) how to use the private DNS as DoH  - will be huge help!

    thank you

    Sometimes you can't get what you want without giving something in return, compromise.

    Never used Intra but I'm sure it doesn't drain the battery. They are not some amateurs just learning how to code.

    Until Google implement DoH in private DNS I don't see how anyone can help you without using another app.

    I use AdGuard and of course it does use some battery like any other app that is running in the background but by blocking a lot of crap it also help reduce battery consumption. Don't you think that Private DNS also use resources? Everything that is active use battery...

    @losnad

    I have checked battery consumption on my s7 with Intra - nonetheless the battery drained faster then ever - it showed 47% (!) use while screen time just 13% - so I am little skeptical on your statement.

    regarding what you said about google - i have heard its possible to enable DoH via developer options - but i didnt saw it

    thank you for your respond
