Apple Configuration Profile doesn't work with MacOS Big Sur
Hi everyone, I tried to switch from the MacOS native app (I'm having problems with that, but I will explain it more in a separate thread) to the Apple Configuration Profile but it doesn't seem to work as expected.
What I did:
- I created the profile on apple.nextdns.io
- I installed it:
- It seems to be in use:
- But when I visit my NextDNS dashboard, it says I'm still using my provider DNS and I don't see any request in the logs from this device:
What am I missing? Is there anything else I need to do to make this work? I've also tried to reboot my machine and it didn't help.
Thanks
p.s: before you ask, this is what I get from test.nextdns.io:
{
"status": "unconfigured",
"resolver": "93.62.29.89",
"srcIP": "2001:b07:ae6:****:****:****:****:****",
"server": "zepto-mil-1"
}

Hello again folks, I have an update: it looks like my router automatically exits in IPV6, so I tried to use the IPV6 configuration and it seems to work fine!

It looks like the problem is not IPV6, because I tried to use my 4G connection and the configuration profile still doesn't work:
{ "status": "unconfigured", "resolver": "5.90.127.248", "srcIP": "********", "server": "zepto-mil-1" }
