Do you really have any CDN nodes in mainland China?
In nextdns.io
website, there seems to be. You can see TSN, SHA … etc nodes on the map (see attachment). But your GeoDNS configurations seem not.
;; ANSWER SECTION:
dns.nextdns.io. 300 IN CNAME steering.nextdns.io.
steering.nextdns.io. 30 IN A 45.11.104.186
steering.nextdns.io. 30 IN A 37.252.249.233
Both the resolved IP locate in Europe.
Someone says in a forum that requesting test.nextdns.io
in browser can have a peek at which node is assigned. And that’s true someone got resolver
in China.
{
"status": "unconfigured",
"resolver": "106.52.146.252",
"ecs": "120.230.0.1/32/0",
"srcIP": "120.230.0.x",
"server": "zepto-sel-1"
}
啊 真有…
广东移动
And the resolver 106.52.146.252
is a Tencent Cloud IP, located in Guangzhou, China.
However I got the following result.
{
"status": "unconfigured",
"resolver": "45.80.188.142",
"srcIP": "60.13.206.x",
"server": "anexia-fra-1"
}
There’s no ecs
field in my result, and the resolver
IP is located in Eurpoe, too.
So Do you really have any CDN nodes in mainland China? If so, how can I got relocated with it? If not, just update the website map as soon as possible.

I tried sending this message privately to support@nextdns.io and got a auto-reply guiding to this forum, which nobody from NextDNS is replying.
